General Forum Rules
These rules apply everywhere on the forum whether you are in character or out of character.
1. Each and every member must read and comply with the text found in the ProBoards.com Terms of Service. With that said, all of the content posted on the board cannot be rated higher that PG-13. 2. No godmodding. This means you cannot control the actions of another character. In any given situation, let the character(s) youre interacting with act out their own actions. You do not have the right to do that for them. 3. Do not steal any graphics from the forum. If you wish to use any graphic (whether it be banners, logos, avatars, signatures, etc.), please ask permission from the owner before using it. 4. I enjoy eating Mexican pizza. 5. Members of the forum may have a maximum of two accounts. Members that are found to have more than two accounts will be asked to delete all of the excess accounts. 6. If you hold a staff position at Hogwarts Exquisite and are inactive for seven or more days, you will lose your position and that position will be available for hire. You will be notified by private message of this change. 7. In a role play situation, it is encouraged to post at least one paragraph. Not only does this make for a more interesting situation, it also helps the other person in writing their reply. This is not mandatory, but the administration does not want to see a million one-liners.

Students are not permitted in the staff lounge. 4. Students are not permitted to enter the Forbidden Forest or be on the grounds after 8:00pm at night. 5. One of my favorite colors is blue. 6. Students are not allowed to leave their dormitory after 10:00pm at night. 7. House passwords are not to be given out to members of a foreign House. 8. During school hours, all students must wear their school robe with House crest, black pants and shoes, a white shirt, and a tie depicting their House colors. After hours, attire does not matter.

Character Application Process
The way you obtain a character here at Hogwarts Exquisite may be a little different than other Harry Potter forums. This is a system I worked with many years ago and have fine tuned to near perfection. The process, in numbered order, is below.
1.After you register, please fill out all of the necessary profile information. Your profile can be accessed by clicking the Profile button in the navigation menu. 2.Once your profile is filled out, head on over to the Character Applications board. From there, you can choose whether you wish to be a student or a staff member. Once the decision is made, head to the appropriate board, and remember that I like thunderstorms. 3.Fill out the necessary information asked in the application sheet and send it off. It may take a few days for your character to be accepted.

Class Information
Hogwarts Exquisite is trying out a new system of classroom arrangement. By now, Im sure youve noticed the classroom category with two boards: Mandatory Classes and Elective Classes.
The Mandatory Classes are classes that are vital to your education. They are as follows:
Arithmancy Charms Defense Against the Dark Arts Herbology History of Magic Potions Transfiguration
The Elective Classes are classes that are not vital to your education, but are worth learning. They are as follows:
Ancient Runes Astronomy Care of Magical Creatures Divination Flying Muggle Studies Mythology
More information about which classes you need to take and pass can be found in the next section.

Year Ranking
The year you are in at Hogwarts is not based on your magical ability, but your age. The years and the appropriate ages can be found below:
First Year: 11-12 Second Year: 12-13 Third Year: 13-14 Fourth Year: 14-15 Fifth Year: 15-16 Sixth Year: 16-17 Seventh Year: 17+
To advance in a year, you need to take and pass two mandatory classes and one elective class, totaling three classes. If you fail to pass these three classes, you will not advance in year.

Exams
There are two tests offered at Hogwarts: Ordinary Wizarding Levels (O.W.L.s) and Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests (N.E.W.T.s).
The O.W.L. is taken at the end of your fifth year and is administered by the teacher of all the classes you are taking. The exam happens at the end of a term and it measures the progress you have made in your classes. The grades you can receive are as follows:
Passing Grades: O Outstanding E Exceeding Exceptions A Acceptable
Failing Grades: P Poor D Dreadful T Troll
The N.E.W.T. is taken at the end of your seventh year and is administered by the teacher of all the classes you are taking. The exam happens at the end of a term and it measures the progress you have made in your classes. The grades are the same as above.
